Prof. Xiaoqing Feng was invited to attend 2015 Seminar on Globalization and Intellectual Property New Development on Jan. 7th, 2015. The seminar was hosted by China Intellectual Property Law Research Association. The seminar invited a number of distinguished scholars and prominent delegates from administrative agencies and practical enterprises from the EU, the US and Beijing. The foreign participants includes Chief Judge of US Appellate Court of Federal Circuit, former Director of US Patent and Trademark Office, and the Ambassador of US Embassy as well as other intellectual property officials. Domestic intellectual property scholars includes Director and Prof. Chuntian Liu of China Intellectual Property Law Research Association, vice-director and Prof. Sanqiang Qu, vice-president of Beijing Intellectual Property Court and other dozens of experts. The seminar had a heartily discussion and communication. Prof. Xiaoqing Feng in his speech pointed out that we must comprehensively analyzed and understood the intellectual property issues under globalization and international environment. Also, the globalization and internationalism must be incorporated into a local environment in a country like China. While emphasizing on national treatment and effective protection，we should avoid and preclude the global protectionism of intellectual property as well as the abuse and monopoly of intellectual property rights in order to achieve the efficiency and justice of intellectual property protection, resulting the balance of rights and duties. The seminar reached a great success.
