Prof. Xiaoqing Feng was invited to attend the 10thChina Legal Expert Forum. Generally, the “China Legal Expert Forum” is the supreme academic forum hosted by the China Law Association on Jul. 3rd, 2015. Since its first initiation in 2006, the forum had successfully hosted for nine sessions. This session was the 10thone.
This forum consisted of the most prominent legal scholars in China, governmental departments and other delegates from relevant agencies. The theme of the forum was “Promoting the Development and Innovation onLegal Regulation Theory under the Socialism with China Characteristics”. The President of China Law Association Lequan Wang, Vice-presidents Qijiang Wang, Haiquan Ren, Bixin Jiang, Qian Sun, Sujun Zhang, and Zhipan Wu attended the forum and made respective speeches. President Lequan Wang pointed out that “we must insist on the fundamental conditions of our nation, constantly adapt to the evolving Reform and Opening-up Policy, summarize and employ the superior experiences on how the CCP leads people to the Rule of Law, surround the critical theory and practical issues of legal construction on socialism, promote the innovation of legal theory, and develop legal theory on socialism which coordinates with China’s current status, consist of China characteristics, and display principles of social development.” The vice-presidents of China Law Association Shaokun Bao, Wenxian Zhang, and Xiaoqing Zhu respectively hosted each sub-forum and made speeches. Other participants in the Forum included directors of each Institutes in China Law Association, delegates of National Top-ten Distinguished Young Legal Scholars from different years, delegates of Young Legal Practioner, award-receivers of China Law AssociationExcellent Award, award-receivers of Dong Biwu Legal Achievements Awards, award-receivers of Forum Paper Award, delegates of Excellent Organizer Award, the departments of China Law Association, and other agencies as well as media reporters for totally over 300 people. The Secretary and Executive Vice-president of China Law Association Jiping Chen hosted the opening ceremony and made summary on the forum.
The major contents of this forum consisted of speeches by 25 distinguished and prominent legal scholars. They are Buyun Li, Hongyi Ge, Peidong Gu, Zitang Fu, Zuoxiang Liu, Wenxian Zhang, Guoming Zhang, Bixin Jiang, Shigong Qiang, Lishan Jiang, Qinhua He, Xiaohong Ma, Mingxuan Gao, Guangzhong Chen, Songnian Ying, Zhongmei Lv, Su Chen, Yi Wang, Xiaoqing Zhu, Hao Li, Yongzhong Gu, Hanming Xu, Mingan Jiang, Dayuan Han, Yezhong Zhou, and other legal experts. The speeches coveredthe legal theory and practical issues on the Rule of Law with respect to our National Socialism, such as “the Path, Mode, and Propaganda on Rule of Law concerning Socialism with China Characteristics”, “the Establishment of Implementation System on Rule of Law concerning Socialism with China Characteristics”, and other eight major themes.
The forum also hosted the Excellent Papers Award of China Law Association. The forum reached a great success.
