The Institute of Intellectual Property Law under the Civil, Commercial and Economic Law Department in China University of Political Science and Law (short for IIPL) is the largest institute for IP education and research among all Chinese universities and academic institutes, and also the most famous one for intellectual property education and research. The IIPL consists of 9 law professors in intellectual property (six employed by the university, one by general contract, two by the department), 6 associate professors, 2 assistant professors and 1 administrative secretary. 14 faculties earn PH.D degree in law and the majority of them have experiences of oversea study or scholarly visiting. The IIPL owns a group of IP scholars and experts who have substantial influence in China, such as the Director & Prof. XiaoQing Feng. He is the Vice-president of China Intellectual Property Association, expert member of the Case advisory Committee for the Supreme People’s Court, First-round Researcher for IP Judicial Protection of the Supreme People’s Court, Invited expert for National IP Transaction Assessing Project, and the expert of National IP Expert Collective &National IP Strategy Expert Collective. He is also selected as Excellent Talents of New Century Project (Ministry of Education) and National Million Talents Project, awarded the “Young & Middle-aged Expert with Distinguished Contribution”, “First-round National Leading IP Talents”. Prof. Jin Zhang is one of the five experts in the Committee of China Copyright Law Revision, and the Vice-secretary of China Intellectual Property Association. The Intellectual Property Program within the IIPL is the National Key Legal Program (With respect to IP program, such title only awards to Peking University, Renmin University and China University of Political Science and Law), including intellectual property master degree program, PHD degree program and post-doctor research program in intellectual property law. In general, the master and PHD program welcome worldwide prospective students and provides independent test criteria distinguished from Chinese students. The IIPL establishes reliable and positive cooperative partnership with various kinds of universities and academic institutes in the US, the EU, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Tai Wan, Ma Cao, and Hong Kong. In order to explore deep-level academic cooperative opportunities worldwide, the IIPL determines to set up cooperation with foreign universities, academic institutes, and relevant agencies in the following perspectives: 1. Admission to foreign prospective students for Master and PHD degree program in intellectual property law; Language Requirement: fluency in Chinese (Mandarin); Degree Requirement: applicants for Master program must obtain Bachler degree; applicants for PHD degree must obtain Master degree. 2. Accept foreign academic support or giving; conduct research in the field of intellectual property; Host domestic or international academic conference or seminar. 3. Invite foreign distinguished IP scholars and prominent IP practitioners for scholarly visiting, hosting academic lecture, or short-term teaching. 4. Faculties in the IIPL accept official invitation for seminar, academic lecture, or other academic activities from foreign universities, academic institutes or relevant agencies. 5. Based on official invitation from foreign law firms, IP Intermediary Corporation, IP department in corporation as well as relevant agencies, the IIPL sends IP masters, doctors and post-doctor researchers graduated from CUPL for short-term internship, exchange and cooperative research. 6. All research centers under the IIPL invite foreign scholars and experts for academic activities or as guesting researchers. 7. Other cooperative opportunities, academic activities and communication.
