Prof. Ying Liu and Prof. Xiaopeng Lai of Institute of Intellectual Property in CCELS, CUPL was invited by the Tai Wan Property Law—Economic Law Association to attend the “Seminar on Economy and Trade Development and Judicial Cooperation across Straits” held in the Grand Hotel, Taipei on Apr. 25th, 2015. The former Tai Wan “Minister of Justice”, president of Law Discipline Communication Association across Straits Zhenghao Liao; former Tai Wan “Minister of Justice”, general-secretary of Tai Wan Legal Research and Communication Association Maolin Shi; former Tai Wan “Minister of Education”, “Minister of Examination”, and President Chaoxiang Yang of Foguang University; current general-secretary of Tai Wan Property Law—Economic Law Association, Prof. of Law School of Taipei University Guangming Wu attended the seminar and made speech.

During the seminar, hundreds of scholars, government officials, and entrepreneurs made discussion and analysis on the topic of “New Trend of Economy and Trade Development across Straits”, “Legal Development across Straits”, “Civil, Commercial, and Judicial Practical Cooperation across Straits”.

Prof. Ying Liu made speech in the title of “Copyright Protection for Enterprises in the across Straits Economy and Trade”, Prof. Xiaopeng Lai made speech and discussion in the title of “Patent Cooperation and Protection across Straits and Fujian FTA”.
